iPhone 7, sell iphone 7
Fans of the iPhone 7 shared their excitement in mid-March when Apple officially released both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Red Special Edition phones.

These limited edition phones feature a matte and metallic red finish with the traditional Apple logo. The company hopes to separate the image of the phone from the usual black, silver, and gold finish options through a fundraising and humanitarian event.

According to recent reports, Apple announced that the limited edition phones have been released to recognize a decade of partnership between Apple and (RED).

(RED) was originally founded in 2006 by Bono and Bobby Shriver. The goal of the non-profit is to raise money for the Global Fund – a modern organization created to help end AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis.

Apple has been the largest corporate donor to the Global Fund, giving more than $130 million during the past ten years. Other donors include Salesforce, Bank of America, and SAP.

While the phones are being released, each purchase will contribute to the Global Fund. This means a portion of all iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Red Special Edition phone purchases will go toward life-changing HIV and AIDS prevention programs.

Apple began accepting orders for the limited edition phones earlier this month – both online and in stores. The phones are currently being sold for $749-$969, depending on your chosen model and storage capacity. According to Business Insider, the newly released red phones are a hundred dollars more expensive than other iPhone models (excluding the Jet Black iPhone 7).

Apple executives and designers pride themselves in their ability to present new and cutting edge cellular devices. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are impressive without a flashy finish. Still, the fundraiser represents the goal of the company to aid in humanitarian efforts worldwide.

The newest releases are not the only Apple products that support (RED) and the Global Fund with their purchases. Beats headphones and other accessories, including purchases in the App Store, help support the fund on a regular basis.

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Red Special Edition phones will be available in the United States and forty other countries by the end of April. According to executives, they have essentially the same hardware as the initial iPhone 7 had when it was released in September of 2016.

The phones reportedly have impressive battery life and are water and dust resistant – protecting them from unnecessary damage or death. All proceeds will ultimately be put toward an ARV medication located in sub-Saharan Africa.

“This gives customers an unprecedented way to contribute to the Global Fund and bring the world a step closer to an AIDS-free generation,” an Apple spokesman said.

This fall, Apple will announce the next version of the iPhone (presumably the iPhone 8). This phone will mark the tenth anniversary of the successful phone and brand.
